Walkerston is a semi-rural township about twelve kilometres west of Mackay's CBD — the gateway to the Pioneer Valley sugar country. The suburb has a distinct small-town character: local pub, primary school, sports club, and blocks that get generous the further out you go. Pool ownership here is driven by the sheer distance from the coast and beaches — the pool is the swimming venue for the whole family.
Walkerston blocks range from suburban 700m² through to rural-residential blocks pushing 2,000m² and beyond.
