This is a build for a client who wanted resort at home. The Airlie Beach site sits close to the water with an outlook that reads more as a five-star holiday complex than a private residence.
Pool + spa in one composition
We specified the Compass X-Trainer 11.8m — the full lap-length version of the X-Trainer range — paired with a matching X-Trainer spa in the same Sapphire colour. Both shells share the Compass ceramic-core construction, and both received the Vantage in-floor cleaning and circulation package. That matters on a coastal site: the whole pool + spa complex is engineered to maintain itself under salt aerosol, tropical wind, and heavy entertaining loads.
Sunken firepit anchors the deck
Alongside the pool we recessed a sunken firepit into the sandstone deck. The whole outdoor space works day and night: pool for a morning swim, spa for a quiet evening, firepit once the wind drops.
Sapphire ties the pool to the site
Sapphire, from the Bi-Luminite range, was the colour choice. It reads as roughly the same tone as the ocean nearby, which locks the pool into the site visually rather than presenting it as a foreign element.
What a Compass build can be
Every element — pool, spa, deck, firepit — was drawn as a single composition rather than assembled from parts. That’s what a well-planned Compass install looks like at the higher end.
