Local pool company · Compass fibreglass pool installer · family-owned
Mount Pleasant is Mackay's shopping and family hub — home to Mount Pleasant Centre, a cluster of good primary schools, and some of the suburb-by-suburb tidiest streets in the region. The population skews to families with school-age kids and mid-career professionals, and pool ownership is a genuine expectation rather than an aspiration. Backyards here work as extended living rooms nine months of the year.
Blocks in Mount Pleasant are typically 700–900 square metres, mostly flat, and set up perfectly for a full-family pool. The Compass Sanctuary 9.4 sits on more Mount Pleasant blocks than any other single shape — it accommodates two adults doing casual laps at the deep end and three kids doing whatever kids do at the shallow end, without eating the whole backyard. Combo pools are increasingly popular here too: the Sanctuary 7.9 combo pairs a family pool with a proper spillover spa for winter evenings, and the Fusion 8 has been a strong performer since it launched.
Modern rendered-brick family homes on manicured blocks, with a healthy density of newer builds by well-known Mackay project-home builders. backyards are typically flat, north-facing where possible, and already set up for outdoor entertaining. The suburb is close enough to the CBD to feel urban and far enough to feel residential — a genuinely good match for the mid-range Compass shapes.
