Eimeo is a northern beach coastal suburb of Mackay — smaller than Bucasia, slightly higher on the ridgeline, and blessed with some of the best coastal outlooks in the region. The suburb has a mix of long-established beach homes and newer estate builds along the ridge. Our Hope family install (below) is a good example of what the suburb enables: an above-ground X-Trainer sitting level with an existing raised deck, so pool and living space read as one continuous outdoor room.
Eimeo's coastal-ridge geography means many blocks are raised, split-level or backing onto a downhill slope. That opens up the Compass Maxi Rib shapes — Sanctuary Maxi Rib and X-Trainer Maxi Rib — which are structurally engineered for above-ground and semi-above-ground installation. On flatter blocks near the ridge base, the standard Sanctuary 7.9 or X-Trainer 7.2 fits well. Salt-crust and windborne debris are significant, so Vantage in-floor cleaning is close to essential for maintainability.
Older beach cottages and raised Queenslanders through the historic core near the Eimeo Pacific Hotel, modern family homes and executive builds on the newer estate streets. Coastal ridgeline blocks are often split-level, which changes the pool build significantly — Maxi Rib construction is often the answer. backyards are typically designed around the outlook rather than the interior.
